About Meghan’s guest: Rey Barceló is a patent attorney with over 25 years of experience in the field of intellectual property. His practice focuses on the acquisition, protection, licensing, and litigation of intellectual property, especially patents.

Rey is a graduate of Stanford Law School and has engineering degrees from USC and Loyola Marymount University. Rey’s practice includes preparing and prosecuting patent applications in diverse technical areas, including computer hardware and software, communication networks, telephony, radar, signal processing, electrical and electronic medical devices, Internet-related applications, semiconductors, video compression, and analog circuits.
